Monica Galetti is Samona-born New Zealand sous chef best known as a judge on the cooking reality competition television series MasterChef: The Professionals, since 2009.
Monica was born in Samoa and raised in New Zealand, where she completed her training as a chef. She has worked for Michael Roux's Le Gavroche restaurant since 1999, starting her career as Commis Chef.
Since then, Monica has worked her way up through the ranks, to her current role of Senior Sous Chef.
She gained a public profile in 2009, when she acted as one of the judges, alongside Michel Roux Jr, in the second season of MasterChef: The Professionals. She has appeared in every season since.
Monica is married to Le Gavroche's Head Sommelier David Galetti, with whom she has a daughter.
