Austin Shandu is a South African actor best known for his role as Sdumo in the second season of the SABC1 drama series Intersexions, in 2013.
A graduate with a degree in motion picture and live performance from AFDA in 2007, Austin has appeared in a number of films including My Name is Cage, Nick Pinch Steal, Living in Limbo and Two Bucks.
He also acted in the theatre productions Fight Club, The Vagina Monologues and No Way Out.
Austin was one of the finalists in the reality competition talent search Class Act in 2011, as one of the eight auditioners from Johannesburg to receive a callback.
He also had a guest starring role as a medical student, Dumisani, in an episode of the kykNET soapie Binneland, in January 2013; and played a policeman in an episode of the SABC3 sitcom Let Heaven Wait, in June of the same year.
In 2014 he had a starring role in the SABC1 drama series Mfolozi Street.
