Bio
Stian Bam is a South African actor and voice artist best known for his starring role as Dawid Greef on the SABC2 soap opera 7de Laan.
He achieved a B Dram degree in Acting and Physical Theatre at the University of Stellenbosch. In 2006 he won the Fleur du Cap Award for Most Promising Student.
Stian has since gone on to perform regularly in theatre, film, television and radio.
In 2007 he won a KKNK Kanna award for Best Actor for his roles in the stage plays Slaghuis and Die Storm (both directed by Marthinus Basson and Festen, directed by Heinrich Reisenhofer.
Other theatre productions he has acted in include Maria de Buenos Aires (directed by Marthinus Basson), Romoeo & Julia, Harmse (directed by Tertius Kapp), Altyd Jonker (a play based on the life of Ingrid Jonker, directed by Jaco Bouwer), Pulcinella, Die Legende van die Suiderkruis (directed by Francois Toerien) and Saad, directed by Jaco Bouwer.
Stian has also acted in numerous radio dramas for Radio Sonder Grense, including Moord in die Ateljee, Verleiding, Die Stanford Storie, Anastasia, Nuutbegindt, 'n Winkeltrollie Kersfees and Almal se Storie.
He has also had roles on numerous television series including Vloeksteen, Feast of the Uninvited, Vallei van Sluiers, Transito, Khululeka and The Francois Toerien Show.
Stian also played the role of Gerrie Jacobs in the feature film Verraiers. He has also appeared in the student films Of Angels and Darkness, Waiting for You and Duet vir Drie Stemme; as well as the short film Gearlander and the feature Die Laaste Tango.
In 2013 he was one of the main cast members of the kykNET crime anthology series Die Boland Moorde (The Boland Murders) playing the role of Adjudant-offisier André Fourie.
