Bio
Noree Victoria is an American actress and author best known for her starring role as Simone, Rickey Smiley's manager, in the television sitcom The Rickey Smiley Show.
The Baltimore, Maryland native has been active in the creative arts her entire life. Starting out writing short stories and plays, she completed her first bound children's book at the age of seven.
As a lover of the arts and academics, Noree used her creative outlets to escape her sometimes-challenging upbringing in Baltimore, opting to spend summers in special programs on a college campus studying drama, creative writing and painting, with the help of government subsidized grants and academic scholarships.
At the age of 16, once again longing for a life beyond the borders of her city, she petitioned the school board on her own and successfully won their approval to bypass her senior year, going directly to college to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing and Biology and subsequently a Master's Degree in Information Technology.
Noree completed her Master's degree program with a 4.0 GPA; however, coming from an entertainment family with modest means - kin to the late jazz musician Eubie Blake, and sister to Emmy-nominated actress Penny Jerald - the lure of acting proved itself overpowering.
After completion of her academic studies, she stepped out to pursue her creative passions in the performing arts full time, shortly gaining recognition by winning the Best Actress award in her category at AMTC's Shine - a national actor's convention held in Florida, drawing over 2000 participants each year.
After being discovered at AMTC, Noree was contacted by the New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts and offered a scholarship to study under the direction of top instructors, concentrating in Scene Study, Advanced Film Combat, Voice-over, Michael Chekhov technique, Shakespeare Presentation and Commercials.
She completed her certificate there in the summer of 2009.
In addition to appearing in various television productions and films - such as The Game, NCIS, Vampire Diaries, Necessary Roughness, Teen Wolf, Locked Up Abroad and Quarantine 2 - Noree has produced several music video projects and a feature-length Martial Arts film.
In her spare time Noree enjoys yoga, painting, surfing and outdoor play-adventure with a tightknit circle of friends.
