Seputla Sebogodi is a South African actor and gospel singer best known for his starring role as the villainous Kenneth Mashaba on the SABC1 soap opera Generations, from 2005-2014.
Seputla first became a much-loved actor in the early '90s in the local Pedi drama Bophelo Ke Semphekgo, playing the role of the womanising Nkwesheng. He went on to be a series regular in the long-running sitcom Urban Bliss.
In 2005 he replaced Owen Sejake in the starring role of Mohlomi in the second season of the SABC2 sitcom Mponeng, based on the British sitcom Keeping up Appearances.
He later appeared in the Heartlines film The Good Provider and in the e.tv soapie Scandal!.
Seputla has acted in a number of films including Hearts and Minds, The Place of Lions, The Long Run, Mr. Bones, Beat the Drum, Critical Assignment and Max and Mona.
In 2012 he had a guest starring role as Sibeko, a tough 60-something-year old who runs a successful taxi business to rival Mkhuliseni, in the Mzansi Magic telenovela iNkaba.
In 2013 he landed the starring role of Joseph "Jazzman" Cele, a self-made millionaire and ruthless businessman, in the Mzansi Magic soap opera Zabalaza.
In 2014 he was fired from Generations along with 15 other cast members after the cast went on strike. In 2015 he joined e.tv soapie Rhythm City in the role of rehabilitated convict Solomon. He makes his debut on 18 February 2015.
