Clayton Boyd is a South African actor and voice artist who has appeared in several television series including Montana, History of the World, Leonardo, The Wild and Mzansi Love: Kasi Style.
Clayton was born in Cape Town to parents Ann and Howard Boyd. At age 13 his family moved to Antwerp, Belgium for business. Clayton attended the Antwerp International School for four and half years before moving to America to study acting.
He achieved his double major BA in Psychology and Theatre from San Diego State University before moving to the University of Alabama and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival for his Masters degree.
In 2006 he received his MFA in Theatre and in 2007 returned to South Africa to pursue acting fulltime.
He has appeared in numerous theatre productions including Orestes, Three Sisters, The Merchant of Venice, Dalliances, BFG, Romeo and Juliet, Fat Pig and Lord Hamlet, among others.
Clayton has also acted in several films including The Red Room, Fallen Angel, Bohemibot, Hilde and Valley of the Spiders. He also appeared in the 2013 made-for-TV movie 73 Seconds: The Challenger Investigation.
In 2013 he had a starring role in an episode of the e.tv anthology series Mzansi Love: Kasi Style ("Colourblind", Season 2, Episode 5). His character, David, is the owner of a bookstore who falls in love with a customer of a different race and must contend with her family, who disapprove of their daughter's relationship with him.
In the same year he had a guest starring role in an episode of the SABC3 sitcom Let Heaven Wait.
