Burgess Jenkins is an American actor best known for his film roles as Ray Budds in Remember the Titans (2000) and as Hilary Swank's husband David Winter in The Reaping, in 2007.
He is best known to television audiences for his recurring role as Staff Sergeant Eddie Hall, an ex-Ranger with a difficult divorce and a loss of rank in his rearview mirror, in the drama series Army Wives.
Jenkins, a native of Winston-Salem, NC, attended Lenoir-Rhyne University where he studied Psychology in graduate school. Burgess later enrolled at the famed Playhouse West in LA where he studied for 4 years under Bob Carnegie and actor Jeff Goldblum.
In the summer of 2000 Burgess landed the role of Ray Budds in the Blockbuster Remember the Titans with two-time Academy award winner Denzel Washington. He would follow that up with the biblical thriller The Reaping opposite Hilary Swank.
Notably, Burgess has recurred on Nashville, One Tree Hill, Ridley Scott's series Coma and the comedy mini-series Marry Me with Lucy Liu.
He also starred in the thriller Jimmy with Ted Levine, and won Critical acclaim and the Boston Film Festival Best Actor Nomination for the indie drama In/Significant Others.
Burgess and his wife Ashlee are closely involved in the philanthropy for Children's Cancer Support that they started in his Grandfather's name. They are also active in their church and community and have a daughter, Lila Harper.
