Amy Seimetz is an American writer, producer, director, editor and actress best known for her roles as Francine in the 2011 feature film Off Hours and as Danette Leeds in the third season of the mystery drama television series The Killing, in 2013.
Her directorial debut feature, Sun Don't Shine, won a special jury prize at South by Southwest and was nominated for a Gotham Award.
She was featured in Variety's "Actors to Watch" for leading roles in both Upstream Color and Pit Stop, which premiered in 2013 at the Sundance Film Festival. Seimetz also recurs in Christopher Guest's series Family Tree as the love interest to Chris O'Dowd.
The Hollywood Reporter listed her as one of the breakout stars of the 2011 Sundance Film Festival for her starring performance opposite Scoot McNairy in The Off Hours, and the Los Angeles Times called her the "2011 Indie Film MVP."
