Julia Sarah Stone is a Canadian actress best known for her starring role as Lyric, a 15-year-old runaway and prostitute who is in love with Twitch, in the third and final season of the mystery crime drama television series The Killing, in 2013.
Stone is a Vancouver native whose acting journey began at the age of 10 with her first professional acting class, which led to her first role in a student film for Vancouver Arts Institute. Six months later she was cast in the lead role for the feature film The Year Dolly Parton Was My Mom.
Stone continues to volunteer in local student and independent short films and studies with Vancouver acting instructors Kirsten Clarkson, Andrew McIlroy, Trish Allen and Kate Twa.
Appearances include roles in R.L Stine's The Haunting Hour, Emily Owens M.D., Vampire Dog, My Lupine Life, the Lifetime Movie Network movie of the week The Pastor's Wife, and the indie features Introvert's Guide to High School and Heart of Dance.
An avid reader, movie fan, theatregoer, skier and accomplished martial artist, Stone also studies violin.
