Angelique Gerber is a South African actress and television presenter best known for her role as Romanian refugee Clara on the SABC2 soap opera 7de Laan, from 2010-2011.
She is also known for hosting the kykNET reality dating series Boer Soek 'n Vrou, taking over the job from Elma Postma in Season 4 (2011).
After completing her psychology degree at University of Pretoria and with the support of her mother, Lynette Stemmet, Angelique took a two-year sabbatical in London.
Angelique passed her Advanced Exams with the Royal Acadamy of Dancing (the highest level) in 2000 and also completed a stage fighting course (guns, swords and fighting) as well as a presenting course with Shareen Swart in 2004.
Angelique was nominated as the Style Star for 2010 G-Sport online and recieved the FAK award for best actress 2001. Furthermore she passed the Speech and Guild III Examination and received South African colours in Acro Gymnastics in 1996 and Sport Aerobics, placing 14th in the world championships in Brussles in 2000.
Her short film credits include In die Skadu van die Donker, Die Trip, No Signal and Secret Book. Her theatre credits include My Fat Friend, Macbeth, Mary's Breast, Little Red Riding Hood, Horings, My Reflection on the Portrait of Grief, My World of Illusion, Tussen Vier Mure, The Sound of Music and Annie.
She also had a role in the Canadian film Disposable Life, in 2002; and a starring role in the South African film Hartsbegeertes, which debuted in cinemas on 4 October, 2013.
In 2011 Angelique was chosen to host the new season of Boer Soek 'n Vrou on kykNET and completed her honours in Psychology in 2012.
