Lauren Crace is an English actress known for her role as the ill-fated Danielle Jones in the television soap opera EastEnders (2008-2009), for which she won TV Quick's 2009 Best Newcomer award.
The episode airing Danielle's tragic death was so popular that it caused a surge to the power grid and spurred an unprecedented campaign directed at the BBC to bring Danielle back to life.
Lauren also has a recurring role as accessories sales girl Doris Millar, who sometimes allows herself to be led by Kitty in spite of her big heart and strong moral compass, in the period drama television series Mr Selfridge.
This daughter of bestselling British novelist Jim Crace is also a classically trained graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where her credits ranged from Othello to Vinegar Tom. She performed in the Salisbury Playhouse production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses and in Sherlock: The Great Game.
Crace lives in London with her actor boyfriend and their son, Jack.
