Angie Harmon is an American actress best known for her starring role as Assistant District Attorney Abbie Carmichael on the television drama series Law & Order, from 1998-2001.
She currently stars as Detective Jane Rizzoli in the police procedural television series Rizzoli & Isles, since 2010.
Harmon has spent most of her life in front of the camera. Both of her parents were models and she began modeling when she was a baby.
At age 15, she beat out 63,000 entrants to win Seventeen Magazine's cover model contest. She then returned to Texas to graduate from Highland Park High School where she was on both the track and drill teams.
Upon graduation, Angie traveled between New York and Los Angeles, where she began to study acting. She made her feature film debut in the independent film Lawn Dogs.
Angie made her network television series debut starring opposite Eric Roberts on ABC's C-16: FBI. Other television credits include Baywatch Night and Secrets of a Small Town.
Harmon's film credits include roles in Agent Cody Banks, Glass Houses: The Good Mother and a starring role opposite Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan in the independent film Seraphim Falls, among others.
Harmon lives in Southern California with her husband, NY Giants football player, Jason Sehorn and their two daughters.
