Mena Suvari is an American actress, fashion designer and model best known for her roles in the 1999 films American Beauty as Angela Hayes (for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Award), and as Heather in American Pie (1999).
She reprised her role as Heather in American Pie 2 (2001) and American Reunion (2012).
She has also appeared in The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999), Loser (2000), Sugar & Spice (2001), Spun (2002), Trauma (2004) and the HBO drama series Six Feet Under in 2004.

In addition to appearing in five films with the word American in the title (leading her to be declared the most "patriotic" artist of 2000 by Entertainment Weekly magazine), she also appeared in two episodes of the anthology series American Horror Story, in 2011.
In 2013 she began a recurring role on the procedural series Chicago Fire as Isabella, Gabby's friend and political consultant.
Mena continues to work as a model for Lancome cosmetics and has been featured in the fashion magazine Vogue.
Also a fashion designer, Mena collaborated with Echo Design in 2007 to launch a series of limited-edition scarves featuring digital screens of her own photography. A portion of the proceeds benefited the Natural Resources Defense Council.
