Lauren Ash is a Canadian actress and comedienne best known for her starring role as Marika, best friend of Kimmie and Helen-Alice who has lived a sheltered life for the past 13 years, in the television sitcom Super Fun Night.
Ash was the featured star of Scare Tactics on SyFy for two seasons. Her other lead roles include that of Bernie on Almost Heroes, for which she won a Canadian Comedy Award; Sam on the animated series The Dating Guy; and as herself on the Comedy Network show Punched Up.
She was a series regular on The Ron James Show for three seasons, as well as on Hotbox (Comedy Network) and Howie Do It (NBC).
An alum of both the Second City Toronto Mainstage and the Second City Chicago Mainstage, Ash is one of only four Canadians ever to appear on the Chicago Mainstage.
She is the recipient of five Canadian Comedy Awards and has been nominated for a Dora Award (Toronto) and Jeff Award (Chicago) for her work on their respective Second City stages. She was also nominated for a 2013 Canadian Comedy Award for Comedy Person of the Year.
On the big screen Ash was seen in the Academy Award-nominated film Lars and the Real Girl, with Ryan Gosling, as well as the film Camille with the late David Carradine.
