Big Brother Bio
29-year-old Durban born, Jo'burg-based Nku is a fashion PR consultant with a Degree in Media and Communications from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Describing herself as fun, free-spirited, smart, sexy and driven, Nku says her bad habit is that she eats a lot of junk and she doesn't exercise.
Nku has four sisters, speaks Zulu, English and Sotho, enjoys people watching and relaxes through meditation. Wealth, health and prosperity make her happy but she dislikes waiting and people disrespecting call times.
The achievement she is most proud of is starting her own magazine called Verb in her third year at university which makes sense when one considers that her role model is Anna Wintour, the editor of Vogue USA. "She is sharp, experienced and respected in the publishing industry."
Nku's favourite book is Mind Power by John Kehoe.
The one time drum majorette whose hidden talent is that she can twirl a baton, likes to dance and loves Melville in Johannesburg, Long Street in Cape Town and Florida Road in Durban – all for the nightlife.
She admires actress Angelina Jolie and she loves the music of Rihanna, Lebo Mathosa and Kelly Khumalo while her favourite song is Fighter by Christina Aguilera.
Asked to share the best advice she's ever received Nku says, "All people are self-serving. Its human nature to think of one's self first. So I must do the same."
Passionate about animal rights, the Will and Grace and Gossip Girl viewer says, "Animals and wildlife contribute to the circle of life." She also says South Africa is a growing nation, "so who knows what we can grow to become".
Participating in Big Brother Mzansi because "the popularity I would gain would help me build a media career after I leave the house", Nku says her family will be shocked to see her on the show but will then be supportive.
She says she needs the platform and the prize money and if she does win, she will buy a car, go on holiday and invest in herself. Expecting "romance, bromance and fun, fun, fun" in the house Nku wants audiences to know that "I'm waaaaaay smarter than I look!"
