Lauren Lane (sometimes credited as Laura Lane) is an American actress best known for her role as C.C. Babcock on the television sitcom The Nanny. It was her only role as a member of a main series credited cast.
She also had a recurring role in L.A. Law, in a five-episode story arc in the 6th season of the legal drama.

She also appeared in the made-for-TV movies Perry Mason: The Case of the Skin-Deep Scandal (1993) and The Nanny Christmas Special: Oy to the World (1995).
Although better known as a television actor, Lane also appeared in the feature films Interface (1984), Positive I.D. (1987), Nervous Ticks (1992) and The Cutting Room (2001).
She also appeared in the direct-to-video release Gen 13, in 1999.
Lane has not appeared on screen (big or small) since The Cutting Room in 2001. She is currently employed as a professor in the Theatre department at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
