Tol A$$ Mo (also styled as Tol Ass Mo and Toll Ass Mo; real name Mongezi Mahlangu) is a South African comedian and television personality known for his appearances on numerous television series, including Mo Love on Vuzu, in which he stars with his wife Mome Nale.
Originally from Tembisa in the East Rand, Mo has taken part in several public comedy shows as well as corporate performances.
Some of the performances under his belt include LNN Comedy Show Live at Lyric, Metro FM Comedy Experience, Blacks Only, Heavy Weights Comedy Jam, DSTV Comedy Circuit, Macufe Comedy Festival, and Mo News on LOL Show, Walala Wasala and Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola.
In 2010 he was the first featured comedian on Kagiso Lediga's comedy reality television series Opening Guys, in which Lediga mentored emerging comedy acts known as "Opening Guys", whose job is to warm up an audience before the headline act. In the show he was described as a protégé of Loyiso Gola.
Mo was nominated in the "Best Newcomer" category at the first Comic's Choice Awards in 2011 and in 2012 he starred in the nine-part docu-reality show Mo Love on DStv's Vuzu channel, which documented his relationship with fashionista Mome Nale, including their impending wedding. The show returned in 2013 for a second season.
He also appeared on the comedy show Laugh Out Loud on Mzansi Magic in a regular segment called Mo News, was featured on Walala Wasala (an SABC1 educational programme), had a segment on Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola (eNCA and e.tv) as Vuyo from the Future and was the face of Mzansi Magic Movies.
He also appeared in the Kagiso Lediga film Blitz Patrollie.
In 2013 Mo joined Masechaba Lekalake and Refilwe Modiselle as a co-host of the eKasi+ and e.tv talk show Eksê: Let's Talk with Masechaba Lekalake, in which the three friends get together after work to chat about social issues that they come across in their daily lives, while getting the opinons of viewers.
In late 2014 he was one of the four stars of the Vuzu Amp comedy reality parody series The Real Jozi A-Listers, with comedian and actor Trevor Gumbi; model and actor Masego "Maps" Maponyane and musician Da L.E.S.
In 2015 he was a contestant on the first season of the M-Net reality competition series Celebrity MasterChef South Africa. He was the first celebrity eliminated, on 22 February.
In August 2015, Mo began hosting the MTV Africa hidden camera prank show #YouGotGot, in which a crew of pranksters attempt to frighten and fool members of the public and celebrities with a variety of set up scenarios. He returned to host Season 2 in 2016.
In early 2016 he was a guest on the SABC2 sketch comedy series The Bantu Hour, returning for a later appearance as a musical guest. He was also one of the featured celebrities to be interviewed on the sixth season of Nicky Greenwall's show The Close Up.
In April 2016 he teamed up with Jason Goliath to battle against fellow comedians Celeste Ntuli and Nina Hastie on the third episode of the MTV reality series Lip Sync Battle Africa.
In September 2016, Mo took over from Tats Nkonzo as the host of the e.tv reality competition series SA's Got Talent, joining the show for its seventh season.
Mo - who was born with 12 fingers - is married to fashionista and television personality Mome Nale, his high school sweetheart. The couple's first child together - a daughter named Khumo - was born on 25 December, 2013.
