Bio
Zac Posen is an American fashion designer best known to television viewers for taking over from Michael Kors as a permanent judge of the reality competition series Project Runway, from Season 11.
Posen received a big break in 2000 after a dress he made for Naomi Campbell changed hands several times among several fashion insiders, including actress Paz de la Huerta.
He debuted his ready-to-wear collection in February 2002 in New York City and is now a global luxury lifestyle brand that includes his main collection, Zac Posen, as well as the Z Spoke by Zac Posen Collection.
Born in October 1980, Posen was raised in lower Manhattan, the son of Stephen Posen, an artist, and Susan Posen, a corporate lawyer. At age 14 he attended the pre-college program at Parson's School of Design and at 18 he was accepted into the womenswear degree program at London's Central Saint Martins University.
During his tenure in London, Posen continued to develop and perfect the demanding craftsmanship and vision for which he is now known.
His collections are found in top retailers all over the world including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Harvey Nichols, Holt Renfrew and Vakko.
