Juliet Rylance is an English actress and producer best known for her starring role as Cornelia Robertson, the daughter of a shipping magnate who devotes herself to philanthropy, specifically taking an active role in the affairs of the Knick, in the period drama television series The Knick.
Rylance appeared in the horror film Sinister as the wife of lead actor Ethan Hawke. She also produced and co-starred in Days and Knights, a modern-day film adaptation of the Chekhov play The Seagull, opposite Katie Holmes.
Rylance's other film credits include the Golden Globe-nominated film Frances Ha, Adam Shaw, and Animal.
Rylance has received large praise for her work on stage, winning an Obie Award for her performance as Rosalind in As You Like It, and nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for her performance as Desdemona in Othello.
Her additional theatre credits include Irina in Three Sisters (starring opposite Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard), Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Miranda in The Tempest, and Perdita in The Winter's Tale, among many others.
In 2008, she married actor Christian Camargo at New York City Hall. She had met Camargo over a decade earlier when he worked with her stepfather at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
