Ayanda-Allie Paine is a South African journalist, news anchor and reporter in print, television and radio best known for being an anchor on eNews.
Born and bred in Dobsonville, Soweto, she matriculated from Allen Glen High School in 2004. Whilst pursuing a BA Degree in Communication Science (UNISA) she worked as a news anchor on Rainbow FM (2006), at an online content provider and and was an advertising coordinator at Now Media (2007).
She completed her degree and graduated in 2009.
She was a news anchor and traffic reporter for Talk Radio 702 (2008-2010) and a news anchor for eNCA (2010-2013). In 2013 she left eNCA to join Morning Live on SABC News.
In 2014 she co-hosted (with Thabo Mdluli) the seventh annual Crown Gospel Music Awards.
In 2015 she hosted the SABC2 talk show Visionaries' Lounge, which profiles self-made South Africans who have made noteworthy achievements, with the goal of unpacking the process of building a successful life.
In 2017 she began hosting the eNCA morning show Weekend Wake Up, which explores the week's important news talking points along with sport, entertainment, lifestyle and family issues.
