Eku Edewor is a British-born Nigerian television presenter, model and actress best known for hosting the Africa Magic magazine programme 53 Extra.
Raised in Nigeria, she has a 2.1 BA (Hon) in English and Theatre from the University of Warwick and also completed a Diploma in Acting for Film at the New York Film Academy.
In her production experience Eku has worked with numerous artists, producers and writers, including producer Damian Jones on the 2009 Ian Dury Biopic, Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll. Internationally, she was the Project Manager for ARISE Magazine, coordinating shows in Paris and New York.
Eku has become a regular face on African television. Her first television appearance was in 2007, when she competed in the reality show Britain's Next Top Model under the name "Georgina Edewor-Thorley".
She was launched to the African public in 2010 as the host of the award winning lifestyle show 53 Extra and has since added more credits to her extensive CV both as a TV host and actress.
She opened Big Brother Africa All Stars as IK's co-presenter, starred in the first ever Martini TVC shot in Nigeria, hosted Miss Nigeria 2013, hosted Pepsi's Top Ten Musical Countdown show and had a role as Sapphire in the film Flower Girl.
In late 2013, Eku returned to her theatre roots by co-producing and starring in Patrick Marber's internationally acclaimed play Closer.
In 2014 she co-hosted the eleventh Channel O Africa Music Video Awards.
