Tom Wisdom is an English actor best known for playing Astinos in the feature film 300; and for his starring role as Archangel Michael in the apocalyptic supernatural television series Dominion.
His television work includes The Good for the Family Channel; Black Hearts in the Battersea for the BBC; Wycliffe for ITV; the series lead in Children of the New Forest for the BBC; The Brand Spanking New Show with Harry Enfield; The Castle for ABC; and Wavelength for Richmond Films.
He also starred as Tom Ferguson in Coronation Street, the world's longest running dramatic series.
He played the lead role in the TV film Escape to Somerset for ITV; starred opposite Daniel Craig in Sword of Honour; had the leading role of Stephen Clarke in Suspicion for Granada and was series lead in Sky TV's Mile High. Tom starred in the US TV feature Fire & Ice, in Poirot opposite David Suchet and in Above Suspicion: Silent Scream for ITV.
His film credits include the hugely successful Warner Bros feature 300, Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants II, The Boat That Rocked and The Lightkeepers, co-starring with Richard Dreyfuss and Blythe Danner. Additional credits include Romeo & Juliet, directed by Carlo Carlei and screenplay written by Julien Fellowes, and Molly Moon, directed by Christopher Rowley.
In the West End he played the lead in Steven Carter. Additional theatre credits include What's Wrong With Angry?, the lead in Another Country and the role of Stanhope in David Grindley's production of Journey's End.
Tom trained at the Academy Drama School, having received a Stage Scholarship.
