Bio
Nyaniso Dzedze is a South African actor, dancer and choreographer best known for his starring role as Tsietsi Namane, the eldest son of the Namanes who happens to be their favourite son, in the e.tv telenovela Ashes to Ashes.
His role on Ashes to Ashes was his television debut.
He received a BADA Degree from Wits School of Arts (2006 – 2009), specialising in acting and physical theatre. After that he did a one-year internship at the Forgotten Angle Theatre Collaboration (FACT) and in 2011 trained with Gregory Maqoma at Vuyani Dance Theatre.
Nyaniso has performed in a number of theatre productions including Uhami Aji (directed by Thabo Rapoo and Nthati Moshesh), Wounded Bull (directed by Thato Cele), Notes to Beverley (directed by Khutjo Bakunzi) and Thirst (directed by James Ngcobo).
Dance theatre productions he has appeared in include Unknown Equations, Reach Our Soul (directed by Yann Lheureux), Closer Apart (directed by Mlindelwa Mahlangu) and Façade (directed by Baily Snyman).
Films he has appeared in include Ukhamba (directed by Magalela Mtshali), Hear Me Move (directed by Scotness Smith) and the short Trapped By My Wife, directed by Sanelisiwe Faba.
He has also acted in several television commercials, including playing "The Officeless Guy" in a Microsoft Office 365 campaign and the Chef in an advert for McDonald's Grand chicken burgers.
In 2015 he was one of the original starring cast members of the e.tv telenovela Ashes to Ashes, which was his first credit television role.
Standing 1.67m tall, Nyaniso is fluent in English, Xhosa and Zulu.
