Bio
Kay Sibiya is a South African actor and television presenter best known for his starring role as Ayanda Mdletshe, a young music producer who longs to break free, to be a man and to prove his dad that he is a man worthy of his respect and regard, in the SABC1 telenovela Uzalo.
He first rose to prominence in November 2013 when he began co-hosting (with Kede Mkhabela) the music magazine talk show Sunday Chillaz, which aired on SABC1 on Sundays after lunch.
Kay left Uzalo in 2017 and relocated from KwaZulu-Natal to Gauteng.
In 2017 he had a guest starring role as Kwanele on the Mzansi Magic telenovela The Queen, first appearing in Episode 120 on Thursday, 23 February.
Later that year he had a guest starring role in an episode of the SABC1 sitcom Thuli noThulani, which aired on 1 November.
On Tuesday 12 January 2021 he debuted on SABC1 soapie Generations: The Legacy in the lead role of Siyanda, Jack Mabaso's (Vusi Kunene) long lost, confident, principled younger brother.
