Bio
Oliver Stark is an English actor best known for his starring role as Ryder, Quinn's only son and presumed heir who might have become a different person had he not been kidnapped as a child, in the science fiction martial arts action series Into the Badlands.
Stark began his career at a young age, attending the North London Performing Arts Centre. At the age of 18, he found himself at a crossroads in life that nearly lead him to not pursue acting as a career and study Economics at University instead. But with the advice of his headmaster at school, he was guided to follow his heart and realise that his true passion was acting.
Determined to get his acting career accredited, he honed his craft by appearing in short films and performing in various theatre productions across London.
Stark performed in theatricals such as Dirty Promises at Theatre Royal Stratford and in Seconds at the Pleasance Theatre.
He made his first appearance for British Television on the BAFTA award-winning BBC series Casualty. Two years later, he followed up with roles on the Golden Globe- and Emmy-winning series Luther, opposite Idris Elba; NBC's Dracula, alongside Jonathan Rhys Meyers; and Comedy Central's Big Bad World.
That same year, Stark starred in the fantasy feature film The Adventurer: The Curse of the Midas Box, opposite Emmy nominee Lena Headey and Golden Globe nominee Michael Sheen.
2014 would prove to be a busy and promising year for Stark when he booked the British film Montana, starring Michelle Fairley and Lars Mikkelsen, and the co-lead role in the gritty independent drama My Hero. He rounded out the year by landing one of the lead roles in the high-octane thriller DXM, opposite Sam Neill.
Stark currently splits his time between London, New Orleans and Los Angeles.
