Bio
Edmund Ngema is a South African actor best known for his role as Mlungisi Mathe in the SABC1 drama series Mfolozi Street. Recurring on the first season, he was promoted to starring cast for Season 2.
He has an extensive television resume, with roles on soap operas such as Generations on SABC1, Scandal! on e.tv, Isidingo on SABC3 and isiBaya and Zabalaza on Mzansi Magic.
Edmund has starred in two episodes of the e.tv anthology series eKasi: Our Stories: A Good Wife (2011) and Imbiza (2013). He also acted in the Mzansi Magic telefilms Who Made Me Pregnant? and Lovers and Friends, which were part of the channel's "Lokshin Bioskop" strand of township-based dramas.
He played the role of Bongani, a rugby player, on the SABC2 drama series The Res; a hunk on the SABC2 sitcom Skwizas and a sheriff on the SABC1 thriller series Thola.
In 2010 he guest starred in an episode of the SABC1 sitcom City Ses'la entitled "Baby Sitting Bonanza" (Season 4, Episode 12).
Born in KwaZulu-Natal, Edmund was raised in Pimville, Soweto.
