Bio
Mpolokeng Chabane is a South African actress best known for her role as Lerato Mokoena, a journalist working to uncover the truth, in the Mzansi Magic mystery drama series Doubt. She was also one of the music composers for the series.
She studied for a Bachelors Degree in Screen Acting and Live Performance at AFDA from 2012-2014, winning the award for Best Female Actress in a Play and Best Female Actress in a Movie in her final year.
Her first credited screen role was playing a nurse in an episode of the SABC3 dance drama series Roer Jou Voete, in 2015. Later that year she appeared in an Original Mzansi Magic Movie called Home Coming, alongside Ramatsui Chuene. The one-hour film first aired on Friday 11 December, 2015.
In early 2016 she played a minor role in an episode of the e.tv drama series Heist, a drama series inspired by true events which revolves around a bunch of misfits who pull off a daring robbery immediately after a concert at a stadium.
In April 2016 she began starring in her biggest role to date, in Mzansi Magic's Doubt, a mystery drama which follows a bride's personal struggle when her husband is arrested at the altar for the murder of a stripper at his bachelor party.
In 2017 she had guest starring roles in the SABC2 telenovela Keeping Score and the SABC1 soapie Generations: The Legacy.
Mpolokeng lives in Johannesburg and speaks English, seSotho and Afrikaans.
