Bio
Nambitha Ben-Mazwi is a South African actress best known for her starring role as Lulama in the e.tv telenovela Broken Vows.
Her first starring role in television was as Unathi Mweli, the bitchy sister of a man who is arrested for the murder of a stripper, in the Mzansi Magic mystery drama series Doubt.
Having graduated with a degree in Business Science Marketing (Honours) from the University of Cape Town in 2011, she worked as a marketing strategist, in business development, on radio and television both locally and abroad.
Whilst living in New York she played the character of Tamara in the drama series Black Mirror, based on the UK series of the same name.
She also presented in different mediums and did some MCing, before returning to South Africa.
In 2015 she was added as a wildcard entry to the Top 11 of the reality competition Presenter Search on 3, in which thousands of hopefuls auditioned to be one of three new presenters for three of SABC3's flagship shows.
In 2016 she played a minor role in the second season of the eKasi+ police procedural series Traffic!, which also aired on e.tv.
In April 2016 she began starring in Mzansi Magic's Doubt, a mystery drama which follows a bride's personal struggle when her husband is arrested at the altar for the murder of a stripper at his bachelor party.
The following year she starred as Lulama, an aspiring designer who manages the bridal couture department at Yours Truly Concepts, in the e.tv telenovela Broken Vows. The series aired from April 2017 to April 2018.
Also in 2017, she played the role of Nandi in the BET miniseries Madiba, which aired in South Africa on Discovery Channel.
In 2018 she starred as Benathi in the SABC1 drama series Diamond City.
In 2019 she landed a recurring role on the e.tv soapie Scandal! as Chardonay (better known as Shado) - a foxy slay queen, blessee and host of a secret gentlemen's club. She made her first appearance on Friday 8 February, 2019.
