Bio
Krista Marie Yu is an American actress best known for her starring role as Molly, the daughter of Ken and Allison, sister to Dave, and not your typical sixteen-year-old girl, in the television sitcom Dr. Ken.
Yu was born in Berkeley, California where she spent most of her childhood singing, dancing, and figure skating. After playing Claire in The Nutcracker on Ice, she fell in love with performing. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama with a BFA in acting.
Prior to Dr. Ken, Krista had recurring roles on Nickelodeon's comedy series The Thundermans, as well as ABC's Cougar Town, pMarvel's Agent Carter, The Middle, Amazon's Hand of God, ABC Family's Switched at Birth, and Parenthood.
On the big screen, Krista can be seen in the comedy Love the Coopers, starring Alan Arkin and Ed Helms, and the horror thriller 6 Miranda Drive starring Kevin Bacon and Radha Mitchell.
Credits for theatre productions include Sandy in Grease; Sally Bowles in Cabaret; Alice in Alice; and Tiger Lily in Peter Pan. She also joined Showbiz, a children's song and dance troupe.
