Khanyisa Bunu is a South African comedienne and actress best known for her starring role as domestic worker Nobuhle on the SABC1 sitcom Ses'Top La, joining the cast in Season 4 as a replacement for Brenda Ngxoli's character Pinky.
Originally a teacher from Queenstown, she relocated to Johannesburg in 2008 and soon landed her first television gig - as a contestant on the first season of the SABC1 reality competition series So You Think You're Funny. She placed sixth in the competition and decided to pursue a career in stand up comedy.
Khanyisa has performed at numerous comedy festivals and events, including the Grahamstown National Arts Festival, the Soweto Comedy Festival, Blacks Only and 99% Xhosa Comedy.
Venues she has performed at include The Lyric Theatre, Carnival City, Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York, the Sand Du Plessis Theatre, the South African State Theatre and Parker's Comedy at Monte Casino.
She has made numerous television appearances as well, including on Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola, the COmedy Central Roast Battle on Comedy Central and The Bantu Hour on SABC2.
In 2017 she landed her first starring acting role in television in SABC1's sitcom Ses'Top La, replacing Brenda Ngxoli's character Pinky from the fourth season.
