Bio
Tarryn Wyngaard is a South African actress best known for her role as Jenny, the childhood sweetheart of the main character AB, in the Oscar-nominated feature film Noem My Skollie, in 2015.
Having matriculated from Westerford High School in Cape Town, she attended the University of Cape Town where she did a B.A. in Theatre & Performance. Whilst at UCT she performed in a number of student plays including Interior and Eurydice directed by Lara Bye; as well as Bye's production of Richard III at the Maynardville Open Air Theatre.
In 2016 she had a starring role as Alida Combrink, Cheryl's 18-year-old daughter, in the kykNET sitcom Vinkel en Koljander, created by and starring Quanita Adams.
In the same year she had a small role in the Meg Rickards film Tess, an Afrikaans-language drama based on the novel Whiplash by Tracey Farren. She also played the title role in the short film Maxine, directed by Ross van Leeve.
In 2017 she had a starring role as Anel du Plessis in the kykNET drama series Waterfront, in which three sisters' paths reconnect after a family tragedy brings all of them back to their place of youth and childhood - the Waterfront in Cape Town.
In 2018 she landed the recurring role of Ilke Bastiaan in the kykNET & kie soapie Arendsvlei, making her first appearance in Season 1, Episode 10 (which aired on 22 October, 2018).
