Nikolai Mynhardt is a South African actor best known for his starring role as Mossie in the SABC2 comedy series Die Vlieënde Springbokkie. It was his first starring role in television.
Having grown up in Somerset West, Nikolai matriculated form Paul Roos Gymnasium in 2004. After a couple of gap years spent working in the UK, he attended the New York Film Academy for a year.
In 2012 he landed the role of younger brother Kyle in the biographical drama film The Perfect Wave, about the life of Ian McCormack, a New Zealand surfer who became a minister after a near death experience.
In 2014 he had a guest starring role in the second season of the SABC1 period drama series When We Were Black, a love story set in the 1980s; and in 2016 he was an extra in the third season of the Starz pirate drama Black Sails.
In 2018 he landed his first starring role in television in the SABC2 sitcom Die Vlieënde Springbokkie (The Flying Springbok), which follows a group of mismatched South Africans stuck on a spaceship in 2068, on a quest to find a new planet.
