Bio
Beer Adriaanse is a South African actor, writer, director and musician best known for his starring role as Thomas van As in the kykNET comedy series Hotel.
Along with Bennie Fourie and Stiaan Smith he was nominated in the category Best Achievement in Scriptwriting - TV Comedy at the 12th South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) for his work on the Hotel writing team.
Beer also co-created (with Jaco Smit), wrote and directed the kykNET comedy series Buurtwag, which tells the story of a young couple who find themselves crossing paths with an overly dramatic neighbourhood watch, having recently relocated to the Cape from Gauteng.
He was also a writer for the comedy series Phil 101.
Feature films he has acted in include Vir Altyd, Wonderlus and Canary. He is also a member of the Afrikaans rock band Zinkplaat.
Beer was a recurring participant on the first season of the kykNET comedy panel show Parlement Parlement, first appearing in Season 1, Episode 4 (which aired on 31 July, 2017).
In 2018 he landed a starring role in the kykNET legal drama series Fynskrif, which revolves around a group of lawyers working at the law firm Van Wyk & Vennote.
