Bio
Monique Rockman is a South African actress best known for her role as Pam Ismael in the 2018 feature film Nommer 37 (Number 37), for which she received a nomination for Best Actress - Feature Film at the 13th South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) in 2019.
She previously played a teacher in the film Tussen as en hoop, in 2016.
Monique made her television acting debut as a nurse in an episode of the kykNET drama series Sara se Geheim (Sarah's Secret), appearing in Season 2, Episode 1 (which first aired on 10 April, 2018).
She next landed the recurring role of Beverley in the SABC2 period drama series Onder die Suiderkruis (Under the Southern Cross), first appearing in Season 1, Episode 2 (which aired on 19 June, 2018).
Monique got her first starring role in television in the kykNET supernatural crime procedural Die Spreeus (The Starlings), which premiered on Tuesday 9 April, 2019.
In the show her character - Lieutenant Beatrice Mack - is a loner who struggles to hide her distaste for chancers and nonsense, a hard-nosed stance which sometimes helps her cases - and sometimes not.
Monique also voices the English dub of the role of Yildiz (played by by Eda Ece) - who is asked by her sister Ender to seduce her husband - in the telenovela Doodsondes.
