Lindsey Abrahams is a South African actress and singer best known for her starring role as nurse Chanel Samuels in the kykNET soapie Binnelanders.
She graduated from Milnerton High School in Cape Town in 2012, achieving full colours in Drama. She went on to study for a BA Drama and Theatre Studies (majoring in Drama and Psychology) at the University of Stellenbosch, graduating in 2015.
Lindsey has performed in numerous stage productions including Sannie in Wonderland, District 6: The Musical, Reg-Maak, Once Upon a Nation, Krismis van Map Jacobs and U-Turn.
She has also had roles in the films My Favourite Hello and Hardest Goodbye and The Kissing Booth; and the short film Fatima.
She made her television debut playing the recurring role of Lauren Engelbrecht on the second season of the kykNET soapie Suidooster, first appearing in Season 2, Episode 116 (which aired on 12 September, 2016).
Lindsey landed her first starring role in television when she was cast as Chantel Davids in the kykNET drama series Knapsekêrels, from writer Paul C. Venter. She series debuted on 9 January, 2018.
Later that year she was cast as Chanel Samuels in the kykNET soapie Binnelanders, making her first appearance towards the end of Season 13, in mid-2018. She was promoted to starring cast for the start of the 14th season.
