Bio
Daniah de Villiers is a South African actress best known for her role as Trudie in the kykNET soapie Binnelanders.
Raised in Humansdorp, she won the Junior Grand Champion Award for acting in Los Angeles during the 2013 Wold Championships of Performing Arts and later studied acting under Fiona Ramsay, Karin van der Laag, Diani Gernandt and Diane Wilson.
She made her screen acting debut in the 2017 feature film Nul is nie niks nie, the story of three friends coming together to make Drikus's last dream come true - to make a zombie movie.
Other films she has acted in include Meerkat Maantuig, Vaselinetjie, The Dating Game Killer, Griekwastad and Redeeming Love.
She also played the title role in the 2018 feature film Mia and the White Lion, playing a young girl from London who moves to Africa with her parents where she befriends a lion cub.
In 2017, Daniah began playing the recurring role of Trudie, the teenage daughter of Boeta and Renate (played by Edwin van Jaarsveld and Sandra Vaughn), in the kykNET soapie Binnelanders.
Her first appearance in the role was in Season 13, Episode 131, which aired on 11 December, 2017. She returned to the role for the next two seasons of the show.
In 2020 she landed the starring role of Frida in the kykNET drama series Kompleks. Her character is a girl with a worldly wisdom who has a relationship with her mother that many daughters would envy - she doesn't put up with any nonsense.
