Bio
Liezl de Kock is a South African actress, puppeteer and writer best known for her starring role as Lena Schoeman in the kykNET drama series Siende Blind.
Hailing from Lady Grey in the Eastern Cape, she received an Honours degree in Live Performance from AFDA before going on to do a Master of Arts in Drama at Rhodes University.
Liezl has an extensive theatre resumé, with roles in numerous productions including Crazy in Love, Optelgoed, Sing Jy van Bomme, African Gothic and Statements After an Arrest Under the Immortality Act.
She has appeared in many short films including Son of a Gun, Early Christmas, Donkerson, Long Day, AK-42, Six Degrees West, Dark Farm, Stille Waters, The Webb File, Square Pegs Round Hole and Hollywood in My House.
She has also appeared in the feature films Disgrace and Lyfstraf.
Liezl made her television debut playing a nurse in the SABC2 drama series Swartwater, first appearing in Season 2, Episode 12 (which aired on 30 May, 2017).
She next had a cameo role as Officer Nicole Williams in an episode of the SABC2 sci-fi sitcom Die Vlieënde Springbokkie which aired on 28 October, 2020 (Season 2, Episode 4).
She landed her first starring role in television when she was cast as Lena Schoeman, a psychological profiler from the South African Police Service who spends lockdown with her in-laws only to discover a dark ring of lies and deceit, in the kykNET drama series Siende Blind.
The four-part series premiered on 24 November, 2020.
The following year she had a guest starring role in the kykNET drama series Die Boekklub (The Book Club), appearing in Season 3, Episode 2 (which aired on 23 February, 2021).
