Gerald Steyn is a South African actor best known for his recurring role as Pine Pienaar on the kykNET soapie Getroud met Rugby: Die Sepie.
Having matriculated from Randburg High School in 2007, he studied for a law degree at the University of the Free State from 2008-2011, followed by an LLB from 2012-2013.
His television debut came in 2017 when he was cast as Pine Pienaar in Getroud met Rugby: Die Sepie, making his first appearace on 20 February that year (Season 1, Episode 231).
In 2019 he made his feature film debut in the role of Willem van Rooyen in Fiela se Kind. He also appeared in the kykNET short film Binnelandse Sake.
In the same year he landed the recurring role of truck driver Lourens le Riche in the M-Net drama miniseries Trackers, first appearing in the series premiere on 27 October, 2019.
In 2020 he starred in the kykNET movie Meisies Wat Fluit.
The following year he played the role Anton Marais, the security detail responsible for the safety of Adrian Hugo's wife and children who has a sinister ulterior motive, in the M-Net drama series Lioness.
The 10-episode series debuted on 28 January, 2021.
