Rosemary Zimu is a South African actress and singer best known for her role as Warona in the Mzansi Magic soapie The Queen.

Hailing from Vereeniging, she first came to fame when she was cast in the title role in the 2014 Nollywood film Champagne.

Theatre productions she has acted in include Moulion Rouge in 2011 and iThemba in 2018.

She has also acted in numerous commercials for clients including Debonair's, Nedbank, Volkswagen, Bailey's, Heineken, Vodacom, Showmax, Brutal Fruit and FNB.

Rosemary made her television acting debut when she was cast in the TV film Wena Wedwa, which aired as part of Mzansi Magic's "Lokshin Bioskop" strand of made-for-TV movies on 10 March, 2018.

A few months later she began playing the recurring role of Veronica on the SABC3 soapie Isidingo, making her first appearance on 23 May, 2018.

She next had a cameo role in Episode 5 of the Netflix superhero series Shadow, which debuted worldwide on 8 March, 2019.

In the same month she had a guest role in an episode of the MTV Base youth drama series MTV Shuga 7: Down South, a role she won as one of nine actors selected from thousands at open auditions.

Her episode aired on 26 March, 2019 (Season 7, Episode 6).

Next up was another recurring role, this time as prostitute Thembeka on the SABC1 soapie Generations: The Legacy. Her first appearance in the role was on 7 February, 2020, with further storylines in 2021 and 2022.

In the same year Rosemary landed another recurring role on a soapie when she was cast as Lily Juice in e.tv's Scandal!, first appearing in an episode which aired on 16 March, 2020.

During her time on Scandal! she landed the recurring role of Warona on the Mzansi Magic soapie The Queen, first appearing in Season 4, Episode 236, which aired on 22 June, 2020.

She would return to the role for Season 5.

In February the following year, Rosemary appeared in another two "Lokshin Bioskop" telefilms on Mzansi Magic: Lunameva, which aired on 6 February; and Umlaleli, which aired two weeks later on 20 February.

Rosemary landed her first starring role in television when she was cast as the lead in the Netflix thriller series Savage Beauty.

In the series she plays Zinhle, a woman who embeds herself in a powerful family who possess a global beauty empire — and dark secrets - seeking revenge for her tragic past.

Savage Beauty was released globally on 12 May, 2022.
