Gaosi Raditholo is a Motswana-born South African actress best known for her role as Tshepiso on the 1Magic soapie The River.
Having grown up in a village in Botswana, she relocated to Johannesburg where she graduated with a BA (Hons) in Dramatic Arts and a Master of Arts in Film from Wits University.
At university she performed in a number of student theatre productions including A Midsummer Night's Dream, Richard the Third, The Maids and The Bear.
Gaosi made her breakthrough into television when she was cast in the recurring role of Jade in the SABC2 telenovela Keeping Score, first credited in an episode which aired on 16 January, 2017 (Season 1, Episode 27).
The role of Jade in the series was a troubled athlete whose mother wouldn't accept her sexuality, driving her into a relationship with an ex-cop called Eshe (played by Swankie Mafoko).
Jade was a troubled teen who lashed out a lot due to the harboured resentment and anger she had from constantly being criticised for her sexuality by her mother when all she ever wanted from her was to feel seen and loved.
Gaosi next had a guest starring role in an episode of the e.tv drama series Harvest (Season 1, Episode 24) which aired on 9 October, 2017.
Later that year she landed another recurring role, this time as the character Refilwe in the Mzansi Magic soapie The Queen, making her first appearance in Season 2, Episode 108, which aired on 27 December, 2017.
Gaosi appeared in two episodes of the Netflix superhero action series Shadow in the role of Thandi. The series debuted worldwide on 8 March, 2019.
In April 2019 she recurred as Nora (later Abigail) in the Cinemax action series Warrior, returning for the next two seasons in 2022 and 2023.
A few months later she began playing the recurring role of Warona on the SABC2 soapie Muvhango, first appearing on the show in June 2019.
She was replaced in the role by Kamo Modisakeng from 14 January, 2020.
Also in 2019, Gaosi had a cameo role as a flight attendant in National Geographic's docu-drama series Crisis in the Hot Zone.
The following year she had a small recurring role in the Canadian sci-fi series Vagrant Queen and in 2021 she began playing the recurring role of Tshepiso on the 1Magic soapie The River, first appearing in Season 4, Episode 46 (which aired on 12 April, 2021).
Her character returned in the sixth and final season of the show, in 2023.
Gaosi had a recurring role as Grace in the Netflix supernatural drama miniseries The Brave Ones, co-created and directed by Akin Omotoso, which landed on the streamer on 16 September, 2022.
Later that year she landed another recurring role, this time as MK on the Mzansi Magic soapie Gomora, first appearing in the role in an episode which aired on 30 December, 2022.
She would recur in the fourth and final season of the show as well, in 2023.
Gaosi had her first starring role in television when she was cast as Lesedi, a single mom and the spark that ignited the flame in Alex Shabane (Kwenzo Ngcobo), in the Netflix heist thriller miniseries Soon Comes Night.
The series dropped on Netflix worldwide on 19 January, 2024.
In October 2023 it was announced that Gaosi would be starring in the Prime Video drama series The Morning After, an eight-episode thriller set in Cape Town which was created by Thierry Cassuto and Karen Jeynes (Recipes for Love and Murder, Puppet Nation).
She plays the role of "ballbreaker model Mandisa", in the series which is expected to be released in 2024.
