Jonathan Torrens is a Canadian actor and television personality best known for co-hosting Street Cents, his talk show Jonovision, and his role as J-Roc in the mockumentary television series Trailer Park Boys.
He is also known for his recurring role as Chester Vince in the dark comedy television series Call Me Fitz, since 2010.
Torrens is an actor, host, writer and producer with many years of experience in the television and film industry. He is known in Canada for the series he created for TVTropolis called TV with TV's Jonathan Torrens on which he also serves as writer, producer, director and star.
The theatrical release of Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day wrapped up a seven-season, two-specials and five-time Gemini Award-nominated run for Torrens as J-Roc, a culturally-misguided wannabe rapper on the cult hit series for Showcase.
In addition to anchoring and reporting for Reality Remix on Fox Reality Channel, Torrens also hosted Popularity Contest on CMT, starred as Gerald in Spike TV's Joe Schmo 2 and did a guest spot on American Dad.
In 2007 Torrens wrote, co-produced and performed in Hollywood Tonight, a showbiz satire for VH-1, in addition to multiple comedic appearances on the E! Network's 50 Most... clip shows.
In Canada, Torrens sketch, host and writing work on five seasons (225 episodes) of Jonovision earned a total of 7 Gemini Award nominations, including Best Individual Performance in a Comedy Series and Best Comedy Series. Prior to that, he starred for seven years on the International Emmy award-winning series Street Cents.
Torrens also hosts the family series The Kids Are in Charge, for Travel Channel U.S.
