Shemar Moore is an American actor best known for his role as Malcolm Winters in the soap opera The Young And The Restless, playing the role from 1994 to 2002 and from November 2004 to September 2005.
He won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2000 for this role. He was also nominated for Daytime Emmys in the category of Outstanding Younger Leading Actor in a Drama Series in 1996 and 1997 and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 1999.
He has won six NAACP Image Awards.
Moore's other television credits include the mini-series Reversible Errors, the series Birds of Prey, the movie How to Marry a Billionaire and hosting the Miss USA Pageant.
His feature film credits include Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Butter, Motives, The Brothers and The Seat Filler.
In 2005 he landed the leading role of Derek Morgan in the drama series Criminal Minds, which he continues to play today.
In 2007 he appeared in the feature film Motives 2.
Moore has previously dated both Halle Berry and Toni Braxton.
