Bio
Ron Eldard grew up in New York, studied drama at the High School of Performing Arts and was cast in his first professonal acting role in the 1989 film True Love.
In 1989 he also made his TV debut playing Blade in the series One Life To Live and went on to play Ray Sheperd, boyfriend to Nurse Carol Hathaway, in the second season of ER.
Other TV credits include playing a lead role in Showtime's made-for TV film Bastard Out Of Carolina (Angelica Houston's directorial debut) where he played Jennifer Jason Leigh's violent husband. He starred on the sitcom Men Behaving Badly and then the feature Deep Impact, followed by Mystery Alaska and the Ridley Scott film, Black Hawk Down.
He's also appeared in the films The House of Sand and Fog, Fathers and Sons, Freedomland and Diggers and starred in the TV series Blind Justice.
