Bio
Rhona Mitra is an English actress best known for her role as Tara Wilson in the comedy-drama television series The Practice (2003-2004) and its spin-off Boston Legal, from 2004-2005.
She also played the psychopathic detective Kit McGraw in the third season of Nip/Tuck (2005) and starred as Claire Radcliff in the supernatural horror series The Gates, in 2010.
Originally hailing from the United Kingdom, Mitra has had memorable roles on television including David E. Kelley's critically acclaimed series The Practice, Boston Legal, and Gideon's Crossing, as well as a memorable story arc on the hit show, Nip/Tuck.
She has since moved on to more roles in film, starring in the thriller, The Number 23 opposite Jim Carey and Virginia Madsen and the feature Shooter with Mark Wahlberg and Danny Glover.
Mitra was also seen in the futuristic action/thriller, Doomsday, co-starring Malcolm McDowell and Bob Hoskins, and in independent feature Boy in the Box with Josh Lucas and Jon Hamm.
In 2009, Mitra also starred in the top-lining Underworld franchise origin story, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, co-starring Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy.
Past big screen credits include The Life of David Gale opposite Kevin Spacey, Highway Men alongside Jim Caviezel, Sweet Home Alabama with Reese Witherspoon, Hollow Man alongside Kevin Bacon and Get Carter starring Sylvester Stallone.
Rhona was also the real life physical model for the realisation of the computer game character Lara Croft.
