Richard T. Jones is an American actor best known for his role as Bruce Van Exel on the television drama series Judging Amy, appearing in exactly 100 episodes from 1999-2005.
The son of professional baseball player Clarence Jones, Richard was born in Japan and raised in Carson, California.
Jones pursued acting after college and made his feature debut portraying Ike Turner Jr. in What's Love Got to Do With It? (1993).
He also appeared in the films Renaissance Man, The Trigger Effect, Event Horizon, Kiss the Girls, Vantage Point and Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married?.
On television, Jones has appeared on several shows, including Girlfriends, Judging Amy, Ally McBeal, Brooklyn South, Dangerous Minds, In the Heat of the Night and NYPD Blue.
In 2008 he was cast in the starring role of Agent James Ellison, an FBI agent pursuing Sarah Connonr, in the science fiction television series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. He played the role for both seasons.
