Callie Thorne is an American actress best known for her starring role as Sheila Keefe, Tommy Gavin’s girlfriend and the widow of his deceased cousin Jimmy, on the television drama series Rescue Me, from 2004-2011.
She also starred as psychotherapist Dr. Dani Santino in the television drama series Necessary Roughness, from 2011-2013.
In a television career that began with her role as Detective Laura Ballardin in Homicide: Life on the Street, Callie Thorne guest starred on Ed, Third Watch, and The $treet before landing a recurring role on the crime drama The Wire, as Elena McNulty.
A guest star on both Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Thorne has also appeared in several telefilms, including Homicide: The Movie, More, Patience, and Hysterical Blindness, as well lending her voice to the mini-series The Wrong Coast.
She also guest starred on ER and the second season of Prison Break, playing the role of Agent Mahone's wife, Pam.
On film, Thorne’s credits include David & Layla, Analyze That, Sidewalks of New York and Next Stop Wonderland, as well as the features Chocolate for Breakfast, Giving It Up, Washington Heights, and Strangers with Candy.
No stranger to the stage, Thorne was seen in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at the Public Theater opposite Sam Rockwell and Eric Bogosian, and directed by Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
She’s also appeared in David Warren’s Gone Home with Josh Hamilton, Joe Fearless at the Atlantic Theatre Company, The Country Club and Slavs at Los Angeles’s Mark Taper Forum.
She is of Italian and Portuguese descent.
