Bio
Sasha Alexander is an American actress best known for her role as Caitlin Todd in the television drama series NCIS, from 2003-2005.
She is also known for her role as Gretchen Witter in the 4th season of the teen drama series Dawson's Creek, appearing in 20 episodes from 2000-2001.
She currently stars as Dr. Maura Isles in the police procedural television series Rizzoli & Isles, since 2010.
Alexander was also a regular on Presidio Med and The Nine. In addition, she has had guest-starring roles on such popular shows as Friends, House and Greg the Bunny.
On the big screen, Alexander appears in the independent film Coming and Going as the romantic lead opposite Rhys Darby. She was also part of the all-star cast of the hit film He's Just Not That Into You and co-starred with Jim Carrey in the movie Yes Man.
Alexander's other feature film credits include Mission: Impossible III, with Tom Cruise; Tenure, opposite Luke Wilson; and Love Happens, alongside Aaron Eckhart.
She has also appeared in many independent films, including The Last Lullaby, for which she won the Best Actress Award at the San Diego Film Festival; Play Dead; and All Over the Guy, opposite Christina Ricci, Lisa Kudrow and Adam Goldberg.
Alexander studied acting in London with Cecily Barry and the Royal Shakespeare Company. She graduated from USC's prestigious School of Cinema and Television, where she studied directing.
