Fred Savage is an American actor and television director, best known for his role as Kevin Arnold in the sitcom The Wonder Years.
Starting out in commercials in Chicago, Savage began expanding to television and to such feature films such as Vice Versa and The Princess Bride.
In 1988 he started a six-year run as Kevin Arnold on The Wonder Years, a role that earned him numerous accolades and awards, including two Emmy nominations for Best Actor in a Comedy Series.
Savage's second series, Working, ran for two seasons on NBC, from 1998 to 2000, and also gave him his first opportunity to direct.
He is now pursuing a directing career in television and film. He served as house director and producer for the Disney television programme, Phil of the Future, and has directing credits for the comedy Kitchen Confidential.
In 2006 he appeared in the short-lived sitcom Crumbs.
Savage married Jennifer Lynn Stone on 7 August 2004. The couple have one child, who was born in July 2006.
Savage also continues to act, appearing in such films as Austin Powers: Goldmember, The Rules of Attraction and Welcome to Mooseport.
