Wayne Knight is an American actor best known for his recurring role as Newman on the classic television sitcom Seinfeld, from 1992-1998.
He currently stars as homebody Haskell Lutz, who lives an apartment with Phil (Donald Faison) and Stuart (David Alan Basche) right across the hall from his divorce attorney Holly (Kristen Johnston), in the television sitcom The Exes, since 2011.
His other prominent roles include Dennis Nedry in Jurassic Park, Al McWhiggin in Toy Story 2, Tantor in Tarzan and Stan Podolak in Space Jam.
He was also a series regular on the hit show 3rd Rock From The Sun playing Officer Don, the boyfriend of Kristen Johnston's character, Sally. He also plays Rick the neighbour, a recurring role, on TV Land's first original sitcom, Hot in Cleveland.
Other television credits include regular or recurring roles on four other series ranging from The Edge with Jennifer Aniston to the Grain with Ben Affleck.
Notable guest appearances include a recurring arc on Torchwood: Miracle Day and appearances on Nip/Tuck, CSI, CSI: NY, The Drew Carey Show, Becker and That '70s Show.
Knight has made his mark in the world of film, having co-starred in several blockbuster movies, including Jurassic Park, JFK, Basic Instinct, Dirty Dancing, To Die For and Dead Again.
He has also appeared in family comedies such as Cheaper By The Dozen, Rat Race, For Richer or Poorer and Space Jam. In addition, his film work includes voiceovers for hit animated films, including Hercules, Tarzan, Toy Story 2 and Kung Fu Panda.
Knight has also starred on Broadway in the long-running comedy Gemini, as well as in Sweet Charity alongside Christina Applegate and Art with George Segal and Buck Henry. He appeared in Measure for Measure at New York's Lincoln Center and Measure for Pleasure at the Joe Papp Public theatre.
He also starred as Geiber Goldfarb in the Encore Series revival of the Gershwin musical Girl Crazy.
