Bruce Forsyth is a British entertainer who's rise to become a national institution began when he hosted the show Sunday Night at the London Palladium in the late 1950's.
Great success came his way again in 1971 when he hosted the smash hit family game show The Generation Game which attracted 21 million viewers during it's second season.
In 1998 he was awarded an O.B.E. for his contribution to entertainment.
On 18 August 2017, Forsyth died at his home, aged 89. He is survived by his wife and children.
